SOUTHERN COUNTRY ROCK

Bobby Watson’s path to Nashville has been winding and unconventional. He’s lived a half dozen lives in as many places and the one thread that connected everything was music. “I wasn’t setting out to do everything I’ve done, but this is where the path took me,” Watson says.

Watson was born in Sarasota, Fla. His father was in the U.S. Navy and the family moved a lot as he was growing up before the family settled in Flagler Beach, Fla. His mother was a singer at heart and wherever they went she would encourage her son to perform.

During a school break he went home and recorded a few songs in his family’s home studio. After he went back to class, his mother copied the songs on CDs and started sending them to record labels in Nashville.

Watson dropped out of school, borrowed the family camper, and moved into a campground near Nashville. He started recording with award-winning producer Kyle Lehning (Randy Travis, George Jones, Restless Heart).

Over time Watson worked harder than ever, stretching as a vocalist and songwriter. He steadily released music since 2019 and is can’t wait to showcase his latest self-written music in 2022 starting with the single “Shooting Stars and Beating Hearts“.

The ability to capture such intimate, meaningful moments is Watson’s strength as an artist and the culmination of all the comings and goings it took him to get here.
